Helping young, homeless mothers build better lives for themselves and their children.

Carrie Simon House, a nonprofit transitional housing program in northwest Washington, DC, provides young, homeless mothers and their children a stable, nurturing group living environment and the time and support to get their lives on track. With individualized counseling, mentoring and day-to-day guidance, Carrie Simon House makes it possible for single mothers age 18-25 to advance or complete their schooling, attain steady employment and develop sound life-management and parenting skills.


Since 1988, Carrie Simon House has provided more than 100 vulnerable young mothers with stability, structure, support and time to pursue a brighter future for themselves and their children.
